Ross Garren was an emphatic "YES" when Jason and Winslow started discussing the Expert Guide lineup for the Spring 2016 gathering. Partly because he’s a fluent young player who's really coming into his own. Partly because he’s playing - and recording - with nearly every type of harmonica known to humanity, including chord and bass. Partly because as a film composer he has a wide experience of how to fit the harmonica into many contexts. He’s even written arrangements for B.B. King!
He’s all that, plus Ross is a great guy and an experienced teacher. As a teenager he studied both with Winslow and with David Barrett. At Dave’s bluesharmonica.com, Ross is the overblow advice columnist and is also an Accredited Harmonica Instructor in the Levels of Achievement program.
