Overview of the event

Deepen your skills – and your love – with three-plus days packed with learning, jamming, and coaching from some of the world’s top harmonica players, teachers, performers, and customizers.

Co-founded in 2013 by Jason Ricci and Winslow Yerxa, The Harmonica Collective is a three-day gathering of some of the world’s top harmonica teachers, performers, and builders to transmit their knowledge and skills to intermediate and advanced harmonica players. Over the course of those three days you can experience:

• Hands-on classes given to small groups by each of the Expert Guides, with about ten in-depth teaching topics during the event.
• An interview with one of the renowned Expert Guides. In 2020, Jason Ricci will interview Jerry Portnoy.
• At least one team teaching topic, where two guides share their expertise on a particular topic.
• Jamming with Jason Ricci’s New Orleans band, The Bad Kind.
• A raffle and auction of prizes donated by manufacturers and customizers.
• Individual coaching outside the scheduled classes at the Well of Knowing, where you can brush up on your skills and knowledge.

This year’s Harmonica Collective will take place at the Alley in Sanford, Florida with complimentary breakfast and lunch provided as part of the price of admission.
